TIPS FOR SUCCESS

SOCIAL MEDIA // We have been posting promotional videos and keeping the school and community up to date on our yearbook progress through Facebook and Instagram. I feel it’s important to include the student body, teachers, administration, parents and community members in what we are trying to create. We have some exciting things planned for National Yearbook Week!

ORGANIZATION // At the beginning of every class we have an agenda slide containing events that need to be covered, important dates (deadlines, birthdays) as well as the agenda for the day. Everything yearbook is color-coordinated.

JOSTENS WORKSHOPS // Attending a Jostens summer workshop in St. Louis was life-changing. The resources gained at camp are priceless. We took home a lot of tools from the key presenters that we started implementing into our program right away. We will definitely attend more workshops in the future.

JOSTENS REP // Our Jostens rep, Conor O’Brien, is amazing. He has been so helpful to us. The Jostens community is so amazing and everyone is so willing to help each other out. I am very thankful for that.

Gracen Yeargin, student

wade christian academy [NC] || Rep: Jay Hall

“Gracen’s is always looking at things from the other persons’ perspective,” Gracen’s adviser, Amanda Hodgins said. “She speaks of perspective when taking photos, designing pages and working with other staff and members of our student body. Gracen’s perspective on being a part of our yearbook staff is that we are a family, here to encourage, assist, and hold one another accountable.”

“Gracen is an outgoing, eager-to-constantly-improve, business-ad selling, quote-getting, picture-taking trend setter. She is boundary-breaking, challenge-accepting and goal driven. Gracen steps up on so many ways helping other staff members. We are lucky to have her on our staff,” Amanda continued.

At Jostens, we love seeing students learn about their passions and skills through the yearbook experience. Gracen’s talents are making an impact on her school right now and will surely impact her future in a positive way.
